Mayan Cafe in coordination with Idea Festival hosted a Lights Out dinner last evening with great success!  While I may not be brave enough to eat whatever is in front of with my eyes covered, the concensus among the diners last night was delicious all around.  

  This is how it works:  Each course or drink is brought out while everyone is blind folded.  After everyone has finished- blind folds come off and the guessing begins.  Chef Bruce takes a few guesses before he lets everyone know what they just ate.  From sting ray to beef tongue to carrot infused gin to chocolate molé icecream- guests got an array of textures and tastes!

Not a huge secret these days... but after much searching and much thought, we've finally found a new home and are happy to be renovating our new studio attached to the back!   While it's more than bittersweet to be leaving The Pointe, we've always known we'd end up living and working in the same place.  And after having Ewan I'm so happy about the decision.  Being I'm a tad bit of a work-a-holic and at the same time in love with being Ewan's momma- this will give me the best of both worlds.  We'll keep everyone posted on our new digs and studio progess- very excited to share it soon!

Pretty sure two and a half is my favorite age so far!  Ewan's sense of humor is kinda amazing (at least we think so)  If I can get this little bird in front of the camera without a ...'noooo momma- no pictures right now' I'm pretty stoked.   He's work'n on his funny faces these days... i'm pretty down with #2!
