Mayan Cafe in coordination with Idea Festival hosted a Lights Out dinner last evening with great success! While I may not be brave enough to eat whatever is in front of with my eyes covered, the concensus among the diners last night was delicious all around.
This is how it works: Each course or drink is brought out while everyone is blind folded. After everyone has finished- blind folds come off and the guessing begins. Chef Bruce takes a few guesses before he lets everyone know what they just ate. From sting ray to beef tongue to carrot infused gin to chocolate molé icecream- guests got an array of textures and tastes!
